Alex Perry is a dynamic wide receiver entering his senior season at FIU after transferring from Hawaii. A native of Port Charlotte, Florida, Perry brings speed, athleticism, and a knack for making big plays in critical moments to the Panthers’ receiving corps.
In 2023, Perry played in all 13 games for Hawaii and started six, recording 24 receptions for 277 yards and three touchdowns. He notched a season-high five catches against New Mexico and found the end zone in matchups against Oregon, UNLV, and San Diego State. Known for his crisp route running and reliable hands, he became a steady presence on the outside for the Rainbow Warriors.Perry redshirted the 2022 season after making one appearance against Fresno State, where he pulled in two catches for 19 yards.
Before college, Perry was a two-sport standout at Port Charlotte High School. On the football field, he earned first-team all-area honors and posted 658 yards and nine touchdowns as a junior. On the basketball court, he was just as dominant, averaging 18.8 points and 8.3 rebounds while earning 5A Player of the Year and Sun Preps Boys Athlete of the Year honors. He broke the school’s single-game scoring record with 49 points on senior night and helped lead his team to three district titles.
Now back in his home state, Perry looks to make an impact in Conference USA with FIU. His versatility, work ethic, and big-play potential make him a dangerous weapon in the Panthers’ offense heading into 2025.
