Trey Wilhoit is a seasoned punter entering his senior season with FIU, bringing a powerful leg and consistent field-flipping ability to the Panthers’ special teams unit. A native of Tallahassee, Florida, Wilhoit began his college career just down the road at Florida A&M, where he quickly established himself as one of the top specialists in the SWAC.
While at Florida A&M, Wilhoit earned recognition for his booming punts, placement precision, and calm presence under pressure. His performance turned heads nationally and made him a cornerstone of the Rattlers’ special teams unit before transferring to FIU.
Now in Miami, Wilhoit has embraced his role as a veteran leader with the Panthers. His ability to pin opponents deep and control field position has made him a valuable asset in Conference USA competition.
As he enters his final collegiate campaign, Wilhoit aims to leave a lasting mark at FIU while showcasing the skillset that has defined his career since his Tallahassee days. With his experience, consistency, and focus, he’s set to be a difference-maker in 2025.
